Someone likes to help me in the kitchen. He is helping me make strawberry shortcake. He could eat the whole quart of strawberries himself. He left these strawberries for me to cook with. This week we are working on English words. He is doing well with saying them, not sure if he is understanding what they mean. I tell him a word and give him a picture or utensil that corresponds with it. He will say the english word if he can or he will just say the Chinese word for it. He so funny. He will mimick everything I do or say. This will be an exciting four weeks to get to know him. His daycare person, Kathy, is going to come over and play with him with other children so he gets to know them. I will go back to work on August 4th. I am enlisting a young Chinese person to help with the language barrier. I want him to keep up his Chinese, but I think they will have tricks to help him learn English better.
